Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for ALC 2017?
Registration is open for the 2017 Alumni Leadership Conference!

Where is the ALC schedule?
Visit the schedule page. More details, including speakers and locations, will be added in the coming weeks.

I can’t attend for the whole time—is that OK?
Yes! Some alumni need to arrive a day later or leave a day early to accommodate work or personal commitments. We welcome your attendance for any portion of the conference, and this year we are offering a tiered pricing structure to accommodate those who plan to attend one day, both days, or only the Leadership Awards celebration.

What should I wear?
ALC attire is business casual. For the Friday evening Leadership Awards celebration, business dress is preferred.

I’ve never volunteered for MIT—can I still attend ALC?
Yes! The majority of attendees are current volunteers but the conference provides an opportunity to learn about new initiatives and different ways to become involved.

I’m an MIT10 alum? Could you help with my travel expenses?
A travel subsidy covering 50 percent of transportation expenses up to $200 (U.S.) is available for the MIT10 community—alumni who graduated between 2008 and 2017—who would otherwise be unable to attend ALC due to prohibitive travel costs. The submission deadline for reimbursement requests is October 21, 2017.  Download the MIT10 subsidy form.

Can I attend the Leadership Awards Dinner?
Alumni and volunteer award winners will be honored at a reception and awards dinner on Friday evening, Sept. 15. You can indicate that you’d like to attend the awards dinner during ALC registration.
