When the will ALC schedule be available?
The 2016 ALC schedule is available. The 2017 schedule will be released in summer 2017.
I can’t attend for the whole time—is that OK?
Yes! Some alumni need to arrive a day later or leave a day early to accommodate work or personal commitments. We welcome your attendance for any portion of the conference, and this year are offering a tiered pricing structure to accommodate those who plan to attend only one day.
What is the attire?
ALC attire on Friday should be business casual. During the day on Saturday, Sept. 24, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite MIT gear. (Pick up a shirt at the Coop if you don’t have one!) For the Saturday evening Leadership Awards celebration, business dress is preferred.
I’ve never volunteered for MIT—can I still attend ALC?
Yes! The majority of attendees are current volunteers but the conference provides an opportunity to learn about new initiatives and the different ways to get involved.
I’m an MIT10 alum? Could you help with my travel expenses?
A travel subsidy covering 50 percent of transportation expenses up to $200 (U.S.) is available for the MIT10 community—alumni who graduated between 2007 and 2016—who would otherwise be unable to attend ALC 2016 due to prohibitive travel costs. The submission deadline for reimbursement requests is October 21, 2016. Download the MIT10 subsidy form.
Can I attend the Leadership Awards Dinner?
Alumni and volunteer award winners will be honored at a reception and awards dinner on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016. You can indicate that you’d like to attend the awards dinner during ALC registration.
